“Boootch was a lazy, happy guinea pig and it was devastating that I personally saw him like that. I saw some blood scattered around his cage. It was on his food. It was everywhere.” - pweng’s world
November 11, 2009. My mild obsessive-compulsive disorder had led me to discover that my one and only guinea pig, Boootch, died.
He was like my baby. I was always happy to see him when I get home. But this day was different. He was not on his bed. He looked like he was asleep but I felt that something wrong.
I saw some blood scattered around his cage. It was on his food. It was everywhere. It was dark and I did not see any wound on his body.
I suspected that he was murdered. The killer might be a serpent or something. I really can’t tell. My grandma said he was so lively when she fed him lunch the same day. He was a healthy guinea pig. Butch was a lazy, happy guinea pig and it was devastating that I personally saw him like that.
I did not want to cry anymore like when Pwoof-Pwoof, my first guinea pig died so I just laughed it off, pretending there was nothing wrong even though I was dying inside, remembering that I have dozens of his photos stored in my hard drive which I was planning to post later in his own website. But that would not be possible now.
Boootch, I am sorry that I sometimes ignored you but I do really love you so much.
My heart aches. He was not just a guinea pig but he is THE GUINEA PIG of MY LIFE. It hurts me more that I can’t find the justice for his death. It is breaking my heart…
He will surely be missed. More of his memoirs coming soon.
